Mencap Myth buster Jessica-Jane Applegate MBE is a Paralympic swimming champion and campaigner .

The Paralympics are like the Olympic games but all the people who take part have a disability.

In December 2012 Jessica-Jane was made an MBE.

MBE stands for Member of the Order of the British Empire. It is given to people who have done great things.

She started competing as a swimmer when people with a disability were first allowed to take part.
