R is mother of L, who is currently trapped in an inpatient unit hundreds of miles away from home. They want to share their story anonymously, as R says the lack of support from the local authority is leaving their family "broken."
Kayleigh was in inpatient units between 2004 and 2014. Her mum Wendy describes how the lack of appropriate community support to meet Kayleigh's needs has lead her family to live "on a knife edge."
