Jamie is massive fan of Manchester United, and Mencap’s My Fund meant he had the chance to visit Old Trafford to watch the Premier League match against Bournemouth earlier this year.

Though James and his friends Jason and Mike all play football for AFC Bournemouth’s disability team, all three support Manchester United so they loved seeing the Red Devils in a stadium packed with 70,000 other football fans.

That included some of their coaches from Bournemouth who were sitting in the away supporters section, while James and his friends were in the Sir Alex Ferguson stand with the rest of the home fans!

Jamie’s mum Tracy said “The atmosphere was amazing. It was 3-0 to United, and the boys were over the moon! The trip made the lads very, very happy.”

“When we got back Manchester United sent them a free box of membership goodies to all of them. I took it to them when they were at a training session, and they opened it there and they loved it.”

"Thank you for getting us to the game," Jamie added. "We'll see you again next time!"
