Mencap Shop Closures
Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic we have decided to close our shops. This is to protect the health of our staff, volunteers and supporters.
Because of this, we are also not able to accept donations until further notice.
Thank you to all our staff, volunteers and supporters for all their continued hard work and support.
About our shops
We opened our first Mencap charity shops in 2016, and have opened many more since!
Our shops support our work in communities and help people with a learning disability to live the life they choose.

Why we opened our first shops
We opened our first Mencap charity shops in 2016, and aim to continue opening stores across the UK in the years ahead. We need you to help us make them a success by donating your items and making purchases so we can continue to change the lives of people with a learning disability.
The shops, which range from charity stores to discount shops and donation stations, boost the employment prospects and inclusion of people with a learning disability in local communities across the country. We will be creating full time and part time paid roles in each new store, as well as lots of volunteering opportunities across the network of shops, which include opportunities for people with a learning disability.
The new shops are a great addition to local communities and we look forward to opening our doors to you in the near future. Watch this space for our new store locations!
