Reopening Mencap Shops
The easing of some restrictions around the coronavirus pandemic means we have been able to reopen our shops.
Our main focus is the safety of our teams and customers.
Our shops will be following social distancing rules. This may mean that customers and donors have to queue outside until there is space to enter. Opening hours and the way we take donations may also be affected, depending on the shop.
Our individual shop pages (which you can access below) are up to date with all the details you need.

Why we opened our first shops
We opened our first Mencap charity shops in 2016, and aim to continue opening stores across the UK in the years ahead. We need you to help us make them a success by donating your items and making purchases so we can continue to change the lives of people with a learning disability.
The shops, which range from charity stores to discount shops and donation stations, boost the employment prospects and inclusion of people with a learning disability in local communities across the country. We will be creating full time and part time paid roles in each new store, as well as lots of volunteering opportunities across the network of shops, which include opportunities for people with a learning disability.
The new shops are a great addition to local communities and we look forward to opening our doors to you in the near future. Watch this space for our new store locations!
