Our January Supporter of the Month is someone who embodies the spirit of generosity, community , and heartfelt dedication. Anwen Curran held a Christmas raffle and party in support of the Bryn Siriol Sensory Room Appeal and raised an incredible £331.

What makes this achievement even more special is the purpose behind it. The Bryn Siriol sensory room fundraising campaign aims to raise £25,000 to create a calming, enriching space in memory of Jan Kench. Jan’s legacy is one of compassion and commitment, she was a well know and much loved local Mencap campaigner, who sadly passed away in 2025. This project will ensure that her influence continues to support others for years to come.

Anwen’s Christmas fundraiser brought colleagues together in the best possible way. The Christmas party was a huge success and full of seasonal joy!

A huge thank you to Anwen for her creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment. Her contribution brings the campaign one step closer to its goal! If you’d like to support the Bryn Siriol sensory room appeal, you can start your own fundraiser or donate to help support the wonderful people we support at Bryn Siriol. They are currently halfway to their goal and need all the support they can get!

If you want to get involved in your own fundraising activities, keep an eye out for upcoming events like One Big Walk and Rock Your Socks or get in touch with the Community Fundraising team who would love to speak with you.
