£5 challenge – give groups of students £5 for them to use their entrepreneurial skills to turn it into more. They could bake or make crafts to sell, and see which team raises the most.
No tech day – a whole day with no phones, iPads or other technology. Pupils and students could get sponsored to see how long they manage disconnected from their tech.

Get revenge on a teacher – get teachers involved in fundraising by asking them to be a good sport and do something silly for money! Set a fundraising target, and if it’s met, the teacher has to follow through on the promise they made. Promises could include having a bucket of ice cold water thrown over them, have a cream pie thrown at them, sit in a bath of baked beans or shave their hair off.
Open air cinema/Movie night – show a film on the big screen, either in the hall or out on the field, using a projector and charge for tickets. You could also sell popcorn and other cinema snacks to raise even more.
Spy ring – pupils pay to enter and receive the name of another pupil they have to ‘catch’. Once they’ve been caught, the captive hands over the name of who they were trying to catch. The challenge ends when there is only one spy left. This is a great fundraiser in big schools where the spy’s need to do some detective work to find their target. You could keep the hunt to just lunch and break times to stop mid-lesson catches!
