Is love actually all around?

Amy Clarke shares her thoughts on romcoms and everyone deserving their moment on screen. So grab your popcorn and enjoy her love letter to romcoms.

Romcoms are very popular, and usually come out especially around Valentine's day, but despite being full of big stars and having romantic notions of 'love conquers all'... But it would be nice to also have people with a disability playing people with a disability in a romcom, about ordinary everyday people just living their lives, and maybe having a romance and or friendship, as well as anything else being shown at the cinema.

People of all kinds meet each other and maybe fall in love or have a friendship, opposite sex or the same one, older and younger people, people with kids and people without, people in cities and towns, people in flats and houses, people in the UK and abroad, to name a few - and people with disabilities.

"It's important to see a wide variety of people on the screen, big or small. People without a disability could play a person with a disability, but it's important for people to be represented by actual people with disabilities.

Variety is the spice of life - this counts for people too."
