Mencap’s goals in our new strategy

  • Give excellent services to people with a learning disability and grow our work so we can do better work to support people with a learning disability and have more specialist services (specialism).
A community with people, housing, a tree and a church
  • We will work in different communities with our network groups so people with a learning disability are included and not feel lonely.
Two people standing either side of a flipchart with 3 points on it with green ticks
  • We will break down barriers by increasing awareness and understanding of learning disability and the barriers that people with a learning disability face.
3 people sitting at a table which has the word welcome on it.
  • We will create a good organisation culture of belonging where everyone feels that they are welcome in the organisation and feel part of it. We want Mencap to be an organisation where we can achieve our goals

  • We will make sure Mencap is run in a good way so we have good information and advice.

•    We make sure we have money to do good work and make sure our money is used in the best way

We will give people training that they need to do their best work

A large group of people with different needs.

Year 3: Breadth

We will have a bigger wide range of specialist services that support the lives of people with a learning disability

Three people next to a tree, a house and a church. There is a caption that says 'Community Life'.

Year 4:  Reach
