What is Me Time?

Me Time is the name we give to our day opportunities services.

A man and a woman standing in a house. The woman is shrugging. In front of them are a man and woman standing outside. The man is waving.

Day opportunities are a type of service provided to people with learning disabilities to help them take part in everyday activities outside of their home.

They also help people to learn new skills, make new friends and find new hobbies.

How does Me Time work?

Me Time is person-led. This means we ask people what they want to do and develop activities based on this.

A woman flexes her arms above the word "strengths"

Me Time also works in an asset-based way. This means we look at what strengths a person already has so we can help them to take part in activities that build on them.

It also means that we access places and services that already exist at the same time as other local people.
