A learning disability is to do with the way someone's brain works. It makes it harder for someone to learn, understand or do things.

Most people have two copies of chromosome 21, while those with three copies of chromosome 21 have Down’s syndrome. This is why we celebrate World Down’s Syndrome Day on 21 March each year.
The illustration above shows chromosomes. The one circled is chromosome 21. Most people have two copies of chromosome 21, some are born with three copies as pictured here. These chromosomes look like little socks! This is where the idea of Rock Your Socks came from.
