Our new chief executive
Our new chief executive will be Jon Sparkes.
A chief executive is the person who is in charge of an organisation.
Jon will join Mencap in June.
He has been a chief executive at lots of charities.
Jon was in charge at UNICEF UK, Crisis and Scope in the past.
The jobs that Jon has done in the past mean he will be able to do great work at Mencap.
He has experience of helping to change the way

The Government are the people who run the country. The Government decide how much tax people should pay and how things like the National Health Service (NHS) should work.
