Every Story Matters: The UK Covid-19 Inquiry

What is “Every Story Matters?”

“Every Story Matters” is the name for part of the UK Covid-19 inquiry.

The UK Covid-19 Inquiry is an independent team set up to look at how the UK managed the Covid-19 pandemic.

People aged over 18 can share their experiences of the Covid pandemic by sharing information with the “Every Story Matters” project.

You do not have to have had Covid yourself to share your story.

How do I share my story?

The Learning Disability Helpline will help you to share your story if you live in England.

You can call the Learning Disability Helpline if you have a learning disability or if you are a parent or carer of someone with a learning disability.

When you call the Learning Disability Helpline tell them that you want to share your story about the Covid pandemic.

The Learning Disability Helpline can help you to share your story by filling in a form online.

What will the inquiry do with my story?

The inquiry will get lots of stories from all over the country.

The inquiry will not be able to tell that it was you who shared your story.

The inquiry will use more than one story as an example of something that happened during the pandemic.

If people have stories that are about the same thing the inquiry will make a report.

These reports will be used in official court meetings called hearings.

These hearings will help the inquiry to ask questions about why things happened during the pandemic.
