Making Mencap a better place to work
We are making Mencap an even better place for all groups of people to work.
For example:
More people with a
learning disability
A learning disability is to do with the way someone's brain works. It makes it harder for someone to learn, understand or do things.
are working for us.
And we have a plan to get more staff with a learning disability in the future.
We are working more with people with a learning disability to help us make big decisions.
A group of people with a learning disability already help us to make decisions.
They are called the Voices Council.
They are now a bigger part of our work.
All our senior managers had training about how to make Mencap fair for everyone.
