Down syndrome, also referred to as Down's syndrome, is just one of many different types of learning disability. Most people have two copies of chromosome 21, while those with three copies of chromosome 21 have Down syndrome. This is why we celebrate World Down Syndrome Day on 21 March each year and encourage people to Rock Your Socks in March.

When is Rock Your Socks for Mencap
World Down Syndrome Day is on 21 March each year. Rock Your Socks will run throughout the whole of March, people can take part on World Down Syndrome Day or get involved in activity throughout the month.
