Can anyone take part?

You need to be over 18 years old and able to cycle 100 miles by the time of the event.

Do I need my own bike?

For comfort, it is best to ride on a bike you are used to and have trained on. However, if you are coming from further afield you can hire a bike that can be collected at the start and dropped off at the finish line. Is there a minimum fundraising target?

Yes, we are asking riders to raise a minimum of £600. This money will go towards our work improving services, challenging prejudice and directly supporting thousands of people to live their lives as they choose.

Will Mencap help me with my fundraising?

Of course! You will receive fantastic support from the Mencap events team before, during and after your cycle. When you register you will receive a welcome pack with a bit more information about the event, a fundraising pack and training guidelines. You will get regular updates from the team in the lead up to Ride London, with fundraising hints and training tips. We will also provide you with a lovely Mencap cycling jersey to wear on the day.

How much training will I need to do?

12 weeks training is recommended regardless of your ability. We will send you a training plan when you register and Ride London have plans to suit all levels of cyclist here.

What happens after the race?

After the race there will be a reception organiszed by Mencap where you can enjoy some food and drink and a well‐earned rest! Location TBC.
