As an organisation dedicated to both campaigning and providing services for people with a learning disabiity, we are keen to ensure that we learn from the experiences of others, and share our own knowledge. We use what we learn to help develop both the services we provide and to inform the campaigns we run.
We have a campaigns team who lead national campaigns on key issues like employment, education and the right to live independently.
Please visit our campaigns pages for further information on current campaigning work.
As a national service provider we run both national and local working groups that continue to look at the best ways of supporting people. These groups allow us to identify new research and look at developments in practice, so we can apply this to how we deliver our services.
We are keen to involve contributions both from our own staff and from those working externally. We would welcome the opportunity to work with individuals and groups to share learning and good practice. If you feel that you would like to contribute to some of our current work in any area of Mencap's activities and services, please contact:
Alternatively if you are seeking to work with someone from our learning and development team to discuss some of the areas they are working on please contact:
