How I don't know but we both have some kind of inner strength that gets us through everything and helps us handle the worst days and worst news. We are lucky that we have a strong bond and good relationship, we always find time for each other and hardly row. We bicker terribly but always make up and the bickering ends as fast as it started lol.
I tend to deal with everything by making a joke about it, not in a horrid way but if I dwelt on things and let things get me down my kids would all pick up on this and be on downers themselves which I would never want to happen. Yes I do get down and think why me, but then I think at least my kids are happy, clean and all smiles and can show their feelings to some point, and no matter what they are all close to me and Lee. We are a secure close happy family and no matter what this bond will never be allowed to be broken.
Lee amazes me, he is younger than me and yet has taken on four children who aren't his and looks after them, cares for them as if they are his, they call him daddy Lee Lee and even adopted his surname. He does so much for the kids including giving up his carefree single life where he drank and went out and had fun. He never drinks any more, preferring to be with me and the kids, he never ever goes out anywhere unless it is with the children and myself. He is a true example of a great dad he even keeps up with the washing and cleaning when I'm in hospital with the children!!!
Our plans for the future are the same as always, which are to keep the children safe, warm, clean and happy, not to allow them to ever think they are different to other children and encourage them to do things they want to do. We will also continue our fight to get them the help they need and support they need no matter how much time and energy this takes to do. We are also planning on taking them abroad in May to visit my grandparents who live in Spain. It could be a difficult journey but between us we will do it and make it a great holiday for them all.
No matter what problems mental or health our children have we as their parents will do everything possible to help them and no matter what anybody thinks all five of our children are simply just perfect and wonderful. They all go through a lot but are always smiling and cracking jokes and slowly they are all building up lots of confidence in themselves.
And on a final note no matter how hard things are or get for us we always think there are families out there worse off than we are and this thought keeps us all going.
