The Gobi desert is the hottest area of China and the most distant point from an ocean in the world. The race, which took six days to complete, involved a gruelling 250km of challenging terrain where the team had to carry all their food, clothing and equipment themselves.
A big congratulations goes to Sam, who came 55th out of over more than 150 entrants, finishing the race in just 44 hours - an amazing achievement! You can donate to Sam's fundraising efforts on Virgin Money Giving.
The bonding was incredible, everyone got on so well.
