Sunset at the Taj Mahal makes a breathtaking backdrop to the start of the challenge. Marvel at dramatic desert landscapes, ancient temples and hilltop forts. Witness traditional rural life frozen in time. Stay in picturesque campsites and an atmospheric palace. Visit the Pink City of Jaipur and the Pushkar camel fair to finish.
Fly London - Delhi.
Arrive Delhi and transfer to Agra. Bike fitting upon arrival.
Day 3 (80km)
Sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal. Cycle from Fathepur Sikri to Bashawar through small villages and past temples to our overnight camp.
Day 4 (99km)
Rural Rajasthan at it's best today, as we cycle through some stunning scenery to our overnight Indian Palace.
Day 5 (70km)
More arid terrain today, but lots of varied village life en route.
Day 6 (53km)
Cycle to Jaipur, known as the Pink City due to the salmon coloured older buildings. Free time to explore, overnight in a hotel.
Day 7 (105km)
Longest day today as we head west into the desert like landscape. Camp overnight near Sambhar Lake.
Day 8 (73km)
Final day of our amazing journey. There is a change in countryside today with more lush green vegetation as we approach Pushkar. Celebration meal in the evening and spend the night in upgraded tents.
Free day to explore Pushkar and India's greatest camel fair.
