We want people with a learning disability to be able to live their lives the way their want.

To make this happen, we work with the government and others who make decisions about law, policy and practice. We make sure that these people understand what support people with a learning disability need to be able to live an independent and fulfilling life.

We do this in different ways including writing briefings and reports, responding to consultations and meeting decision-makers face to face.

We want people with a learning disability and their families to be involved as much as possible in this work. They know first-hand what needs to change and what good support looks like.

Be a Policy Shaper

We want to make sure that those making decisions on laws and policies understand people's lived experiences.

If you are someone with a learning disability, a family member or carer, who would like to help us shape policies and laws, then please get in touch.

We work on a wide range of issues from health to social care, as well as employment, and your input shapes what we say to decision-makers.
