Test and Trace Support Payment Scheme
If you live in England and have been told to self-isolate by NHS Test and Trace, you may be entitled to a payment of £500 under the Test and Trace Support Payment scheme.
Who is eligible?
The NHS Test and Trace Support Payment scheme is only for people in England.
Eligibility for the £500 payment is decided by your local authority and is based on a criteria.
You may be eligible if you are:
- employed or self employed
- on a low income
- unable to work from home
- will lose income as a result of self-isolating.
How to claim

To start the process select the financial support option on the home screen of the NHS COVID-19 app.
This button appears when you've been told to self isolate because you've been in close contact with someone who has coronavirus.
You will then be taken to a website where you can fill in some information to find out if you are eligible.
If your answers show that you are eligible you will then need to:
- Confirm who you are with NHS login
- Enter your personal details with NHS
- Register with NHS Test and Trace
- Apply to your local authority.
