My husband and I provide continuous care, with six weeks respite a year. We support each other, and get help from our daughter and other members of our family. We are also in touch with Age Concern.
Sometimes providing this level of support is hard - we always have to plan ahead, and at times it feels like there is a third person in our marriage. We never received a carer's assessment, and to be honest I'm not sure why.
We always have to plan ahead, and at times it feels like there is a third person in our marriage.
We have now started planning for our child in the future, and we have made a will. It has been a difficult process though, as the future is not a subject that my husband wishes to discuss.
For now my only hope for the future is that that we can continue on as we are at the moment.
