Down Syndrome
Down syndrome, also known as Down's syndrome, is a type of disability. People with Down syndrome may find it hard to learn new things and may need support. They may have more problems with their health too.
Day was chosen to be held on the 21st day of the third month each year, to signify the triplication of the 21st chromosome which causes Down Syndrome.
On this day we are asking you to spread awareness and fundraise for Mencap by Rocking Your Socks so we can continue to support people with a learning disability across the UK.
