Snap! our annual photo competition

Snap! is Mencap's photo and story competition which has been running since 2003. 

Snap! offers a unique insight into what it is like to have a learning disability through the eyes of those closest to it.

Each year we are looking for photos of people with a learning disability or photos taken by someone with a learning disability. We ask you to send us your photos and stories of what makes you happy, sad, angry, excited and proud. Everyone has a story to tell and we want to hear yours.

Key dates:

2008 competition: The 2008 competition closed for new entries on 26 March, and was judged on 16 April. Thank you to everyone who entered - we had over 1100 outstanding entries.

Prize-winners' party: This will take place by invitation on Wednesday 18 June at the Proud Gallery Camden. This will be followed by a two week exhibition in the same space.  The exhibition will then tour the UK. Venues and dates are soon to be announced.

Please note: Unfortunately, the gallery will be closed from Monday 30 June for one week. It will be open again from Monday 7 July until Sunday 13 July.
