More than 90 per cent of the voting population can't understand phrases used in political literature, according to a survey(i) published by Mencap today to launch its Get My Vote campaign. The learning disability charity is calling for politicians to stop using complex language, particularly as the political parties release their manifestos in the run up to the general election.
