Snap! 2010 - coming soon!

Snap! 2010 will be open for entries in March. 

Do not send any entries now as they will not be counted. Please come back to the website in March when there will be more information. 

In the meantime, start taking photos or making films in preparation for the opening of the Snap! competition. If you are a winner, your work could be shown across the UK and you could win some great prizes.

Snap! is the photo and short film competition Mencap holds every year. We will be looking for:

• photos or films of people with a learning disability
• photos or films taken or filmed by someone with a learning disability.

Each entry will also need to include a brief story about why you took the photo or made the film. We want you to send us photos and films highlighting what makes you happy, sad, angry, excited and proud. Everyone has a story to tell and we want to hear yours.

The winning entries will be shown in an exhibition at an art gallery in London. The exhibition will then go on tour across the UK. The work will also be shown on the Mencap website for 1,000's of people to see.

What you can win:

• Top of the range digital or video camera from Fujifilm

• An invitation to an exciting prize winners' party in London

• Your photo or film shown at a London art gallery over the summer of 2010

• The chance for your photo or film to be shown in the Snap! tour across the UK

• Your photo or film to be shown on the Mencap website.
