The Learning Disability Helpline is an advice and information service for people with a learning disability, their families and carers.
It also provides information and advice to anyone wanting to know about learning disability issues and services.
The Learning Disability Helpline is made up of a telephone helpline, community based advisers and the Mencap website.

As part of the In Control and Me project, the Learning Disability Helpline in England can also provide advice and information about individual budgets and self-directed support in relation to learning disability issues.
We can also give you the name and number of other people who can help you.
If English is not your first language and you need information or advice, the Learning Disability Helpline offers a translation service. Just call the helpline on 0808 808 1111 and tell the operator which language you need.
The operator will ask for your contact details so they can call you back. They will then contact Language Line and you will be able to talk to the operator through an interpreter. This is a three way process.
