Gateway Award
The Gateway Award is a challenging and exciting programme of activities for those aged 13 years and upwards. It is evidence-based, and provides a framework where participants can design their own programme of activities.
The Gateway Award has three progressive levels: bronze, silver and gold. Each of these award levels has five sections for participants to complete:
- hobbies
- volunteering
- adventure challenge
- fitness
- lifestyle
Within each award level, the sections can be completed in any order and the participant can choose whether to complete the sections one at a time or simultaneously. Full details of the sections can be found in the Gateway Award CD pack.
The Gateway Award is a chance for participants to set their own challenges and achieve them within an awards framework. It is about gaining confidence, new experiences, having fun and meeting new people.
