Involve Me

Involve Me is a three-year project about how to creatively involve people with profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD) in decision making.

Raising Your Game

Raising Your Game has been developed in direct response to what young people told Mencap about their dreams and the problems they encounter achieving them.

Gateway Active

Mencap has set up 13 Gateway Active centres around England, Scotland and Wales, funded by the People’s Health Trust. These are for people with a learning disability, their parents and carers.

Getting It Right - From The Start

Getting It Right – From The Start is a volunteer-led healthcare project. The main aim of the project is to make reasonable adjustments to primary care services for people with a learning disability.

Gateway Beacon

Gateway Beacon is a project to improve leisure clubs for people with a learning disability. By capturing information, offering guidance and sharing good practice more, people with a learning disability can benefit from taking part in activities that interest them, and clubs can be supported to develop in the way they want to.

Parent Pioneers

Parent Pioneers is a project aimed at developing an early intervention programme of specialist family support for parents with a learning disability.

Bags of Ability

Training to better equip early years professionals to communicate with children through storytelling. You will build your own stories and children will experience ‘reading time’ as a fun and positive activity.
