Mencap's Little Noise Sessions line up confirmed

A host of the hottest stars in music are set to descend on Islington's Union Chapel for the acclaimed Mencap's Little Noise Sessions. 16 - 25 November 2009.  Host and curator, Jo Whiley, today announced the impressive line up which includes headliners' Editors, Mika, Alexandra Burke, Lostprophets, Taio

Cruz with special guests Tinchy Stryder and Chipmunk and Florence + The Machine.

Also set to perform in the stunning surroundings of the Union Chapel, Islington, are The Maccabees, Alphabeat, VV Brown, Bombay Bicycle Club, Everything Everything, Paloma Faith, The Blackout, Golden Silvers, The King Blues, Erik Hassle, Alex Gardner and Ellie Goulding with a raft of performers and special guests still to be announced. Tickets are available from www.littlenoisesessions.org.uk with all proceeds going to the learning disability charity, Mencap.

Now in their 4th year, Mencap's Little Noise Sessions take world-class bands out of their comfort zone to present a rawer, purer sound meaning the crowd get to witness something very special each night.

Jo Whiley says: "Once more I'm delighted to be part of Mencap's Little Noise Sessions.  Each year wonderful things take place inside the Union Chapel as the bands cast a spell over the audience and I have no doubt there will be magic all over again. Register today."

There are so many benefits to the £6 fee for six months including priority ticketing, exclusive footage, audio and photos; competitions and auctions and a second chance option to purchase tickets. There are 1.5 million people with a learning disability in the UK, who are among the most excluded and disadvantaged people in our society. Money raised at Mencap's Little Noise Sessions will go to Mencap arts awards projects to help people with a learning disability. Mencap directly supports people with a learning disability to live their lives as they choose and challenge prejudice.

The sessions have an unrivalled reputation for mixing legendary international acts with fresh and exciting newcomers.  Previous acts that have wowed the audience include Kasabian, Amy Winehouse, Noel Gallagher, Stereophonics, Razorlight, Lily Allen, Adele and Duffy   along with some very special guests including Bono and The Edge from the legendary U2 and international superstars The Killers.
