Family Matters - free event for disabled parents

FamilyEmpower

Family Matters Event from Circles Network Wales.

On the 24th March 2011
Wesley Methodist Church, Cardiff
10am - 4pm
Contact Val McCoy on 02920 487575 or admin.wales@circlesnetwork.org.uk

A free event for disabled parents; including those with learning difficulties, physical difficulties or mental health issues.

- The event will focus on sharing stories of the issues parents face and looking at positive ways to move forward through improving parenting skills and empowering individuals.
- The day will involve a number of speakers, some with lived experience of the issues disabled parents face.
- Workshops and activities will run throughout the day which will offer practical advice and support.

The day is structured in order for us to squeeze in as much practical support and information as possible.
However, if you are unable to make the whole day we will do our best to accommodate you. Contact Val McCoy to register your interest and for further details of the event.

Our Key speaker in George Ducharme. He is a founder of the leading US social inclusion organisation Communitas inc. and will discuss inclusion, empowerment and giftedness.
