I am supporting my friend who's 47 with moderate learning difficulties and wanting to buy a digi box but need one that is easy to operate, can anyone suggest a make and model that has an easy remote control and not too complicated to use? Thankyou
I know it's a long time since you posted your 'ad', but if it's of interest I'd suggest a new 'digital only' TV. Toshiba and Hitachi remotes tend to have large buttons, hence are easier in terms of dexterity.
My 38 yr old Downs sis has real difficulty with digital, she finds the interaction between looking at the screen ( and time delays ) after pressing the buttons very hard to deal with. She also finds using a DVD player impossible, because of the interactive / onscreen nature of it's function, she just can't make the connection between 'onscreen' and using the arrows to select things. However, she can use a VHS video machine with ease.
Does anyone else have any experiences like this / similar difficulties ?
