mia76

Hi my daughter is 8 yrs old a has mild cerable palsey and is not walking,

we  also have a 3 week old daughter too with no special needs,

i would like to know if anyone knows  where i could get a double pushchair, so it would be much easyer for me to push both children.

Dear mia76,

There are a few places you could try - there is an organisation called TwinsUK that do produce double buggies - I know they produce one that is suitable for a child up to 8, it might be worth contacting them about your special requirements. Their website link is http://www.twinsuk.co.uk/category.php?dept_id=6&sub_id=146

 You could also try www.fledglings.org.uk , www.whizz-kids.org.uk or www.wheelchairchildren.org.uk

It might also be worth contacting your Local Authority and speaking with an Occupational Therapist - they may have some other ideas.

If you still have no joy please do get back in touch and we'll investigate a bit further....hope this helps...

Best wishes, Lucy

Hi there,

I just wanted to say that we got a Maclaren Major buggy when my daughter was born and my son was still not walking due to  his disability. We got this from disablement services - I think the OT referred us.

 Hope this helps,
