ali

Hi there

I am mum to Ben, 2, and Holly, 9 weeks.  Holly has Downs Syndrome, and I am looking for other parents/carers with experiences to share.

Hi Ali,

Sorry you've had no response before now, but I've only joined the forum today. I have 4 year old twins, Jared and Garth, and Garth has Down's Syndrome. If you want to "speak" let me know.

Hi Ali, congratulations on your new baby.

I hope you will be able to meet other parents in your area, I found support groups very helpful when my daughter was born 18 years ago. Also, read as much as you can about the syndrome, to be one step ahead. Keep yourself healthy, and ENJOY your children!

Hi there,

Congratulation's Ali on the birth of Holly .

I am married with two children my eldest Connie is 11 and Jack will be 3 in a couple of months.  Jack has Down's Syndrome and he is just beginning to walk.  Since having Jack we have met lots of parents with down's children of varying ages everyone is very supportive.

Jack is absolutely gorgeous I wouldn't change him for the world.

Best wishes Gillian x
