Does anyone know of how the money promised by the government on the back of the Bercow Review is being implemented to help children with speech and language difficulties?
I am in a battle to get more SALT provision for my child. The LA where we live is probably better than many but it is still a struggle.
Any comments most welcome.
Hello VillaCroce,
Welcome to the forum! I hope you'll find it helpful and supportive. I can't provide you with an immediate answer to your question, but I will look into this further and hope to come back with a bit more information for you. It would be great to hear others experience and any tips that can be offered...
Hello VillaCroce,
I am still making some enquiries for you, but a colleague has suggested a couple of websites where you might find some further information in the meantime. Firstly, the DCSF website http://www.dcsf.gov.uk/pns/DisplayPN.cgi?pn_id=2008_0141 gives some further information about Every Child A Talker.
You might also want to try AFASIC - www.afasic.org.uk and ICAN www.ican.org.uk
I hope that this will prove to be helpful. Best wishes, Lucy
