Just wanted to say hi!

HappyBlonde

Hi all, I just wanted to say hi, I'm new to this group and I am a full time carer to my 11 year old son, who has multiple disabilities, including a learning disability which can be quite challenging at times!

I was looking for friendly a friendly chat and some advice, my son was diagnosed with a learning disability at around the age of 7 and although I have just had to manage on my own, it was only recently that I started to get some proper specialist help for my son, before this I was told that he is bored and that I needed to give him things to do!

Anyway thanks for taking the time to read my thread.

Hi Happyblond - I am about to have a baby - and have been told there is a high chance of DS or other complications, so nothing to share yet, but I hope to have lots of advice in the coming months.
I already have a 4 year old - and know what its like keeping any child interested and entertained, especially when its raining all the time!
