Cheque presentation at the National Eisteddfod

Mencap Cymru yesterday (4 August) received a cheque from BBC Children in Need at the National Eisteddfod.
The £298,000 grant will help to fund the Play Our Way leisure project for young people. It's the largest grant ever given to a project in Wales by BBC Children in Need.
There were some special guests at the event to see Mencap Cymru receive their cheque including Carwyn Jones, First Minister of Wales and Marc Phillips, the head of Children in Need in Wales.
Mike Gallagher, Play Our Way officer and Wayne Crocker received the cheque on behalf on Mencap Cymru.
Wayne Crocker, Mencap Cymru's interim director, explained: "Young people will be given the chance to look at their local leisure facilities and identify ways to make them more accessible so they can be enjoyed by everyone."
The National Eisteddfod is a major cultural festival that takes place in Wales every year. It attracts over 160,000 visitors and celebrates culture, music, visual arts and all kinds of activities for people of all ages.
