Raise money for Mencap by putting the kettle on

This month, The Co-operative is asking people to pop the kettle on to support its Charity of the Year – Mencap.
By holding a Tea With Me event, supporters can raise money and awareness for Mencap. All of the money raised over a cup of tea and a slice of cake will go directly towards Mencap’s project, Inspire Me.
The project aims to work with 20,000 young people with a learning disability, aged 16-25, their parents and carers, and local communities, to overcome the exclusion and prejudice that many face in their lives. The project will do this by providing activities and training, together with volunteering and employment opportunities.
To make your Tea With Me parties even more ethical, The Co-operative’s Fairtrade 99 Tea is also supporting Mencap and sister charity ENABLE Scotland, with a donation from its sales.
