Please note, by submitting the application form you are applying for a place on the Marathon des Sables Mencap team.

We will review all applications and inform applicants if they have been successful 18 months before the race.

As part of this application you are required to submit your fundraising plans. We advise you to provide as much detail as possible. We're looking for applications that:

• meet or exceed the minimum sponsorship target
• have a plan that is achievable and includes as much detail as possible
• strong motivation

If your application is successful, you will be offered a conditional place. To confirm your place you will then need to produce the following items within one month of receiving the offer:

• completed registration form
• signed medical questionnaire and your doctor's statement
• payment to cover the registration fee
