Mencap Group Advocacy
Mencap’s Advocacy groups encourage people with a learning disability to use their voice. David, Zoe, Ann and Ranjeet talk about why it’s important for them to have their say.
David, Zoe, and Ann attend a Mencap advocacy group called ‘We Think’. Discover the benefits of advocacy groups and hear in their own words how they have been supported by Mencap. Mencap local leader Ranjit also talks about what it is like to speak up for people with a learning disability.
My job is a local leader for Mencap, talking up for other people with learning disabilities. I’m very good sticking up for myself and very good at talking up for other people.
